Description of book: The Promenades series encompasses photographs taken over the past seven years, as I’ve moved through my everyday life. They’ve been taken in New York and Paris, mostly, and many other places around the country and the world. The books are about the way that I take pictures, organize imagery, and put together and pull apart narratives. The images are tied to how I explore spaces, wandering through them. The best images in the series were taken in places familiar to me, but many of the pictures were made in places I saw once very briefly and will never return to.
